What problems I got to know?
I go through the negative reviews on play store ,there are some of the reviews which are complaining about difficulty in navigation, complex layout, cluttered design, etc.
- Difficult to navigate or lacking intuitive design.
- Frustration with a complex layout that makes it challenging to find information quickly.
- Cluttered design or an excess of visual elements that detract from the overall aesthetics and readability.
- Users critique the interests section for not offering a diverse range of topics.
- There is no comments option and video is not associated with the article.
Ideate
Fixing the home page layout
The home page needs some fixes, such as adding chips or dividers for trending and latest sections.
The search bar should be moved to the top instead of the navigation bar.
Associating videos with articles
The right topic/headline is displayed, but the video is not associated with the article.
Videos and photos should be added to the articles.
Improving personalized interests
According to some reviews, the interests on the news page are not aligned with what users want.
The personalized interests should be improved to match user preferences.
Usability Testing
User 1 :
Improved homepage layout.
The interest section is customized based on the user's preferences.
User 2 :
Wanted a comment section in news/article section.
Save feature is much needed.
